Who knew a flyover could become the country's latest content location?
The newly completed Benin flyover has taken over social media, with residents turning it into a spot for photoshoots, TikTok videos, picnics and evening hangouts. Within days, videos from the bridge flooded X, Instagram and TikTok, with many joking that Benin had found its newest tourist attraction.
Not everyone understood the excitement.
Some Nigerians questioned why people would gather on a flyover just to take pictures.
But for many Benin residents, it was simply people enjoying something new in their city. Instead of seeing another project announced on paper, they finally had one they could experience, celebrate and proudly post online.

2. Almost Three Years Later, Mohbad Is Yet to Be Buried
Nearly three years after the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, his burial is still on hold.
His father, Joseph Aloba, has maintained that a DNA test must first determine the paternity of Mohbad's son before the late singer can be laid to rest. The position has once again pushed the case back into public conversation.

3. DJ Chicken Released After Detention Over Alleged Threat Against Seyi Tinubu
Controversial social media personality DJ Chicken is back online after spending 11 days in detention over alleged threats against Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.
Following his release, videos of him celebrating with friends quickly surfaced online. During an Instagram Live session, he also publicly appreciated Seyi Tinubu and advised fellow content creators to avoid actions that could land them in similar situations.
As expected, Nigerians had plenty to say.
While some welcomed his release, others used the moment to reopen conversations about the limits of online content creation and whether creators are becoming too comfortable saying anything for views.
