Over 718 personnel of the Nigerian Armed Forces have applied for voluntary retirement.
The applicants, drawn from the ranks of corporals, sergeants, warrant officers, and master warrant officers, have formally indicated their interest in leaving active Nigerian military service.
No official reason has yet been provided for the development, as authorities are expected to review the applications in line with existing military regulations.
