Have you ever been to Lekki Beach? If you haven’t, you’re truly missing out on one of Lagos’ most calming and refreshing experiences.

My first visit opened my eyes to how the beach is beautifully divided into different sections, each offering its own unique vibe. Interestingly, you pay an entrance fee depending on the section you want to explore, but honestly, every naira is worth it.

What makes the beach special for me is the peace it brings. The beach doesn’t judge, it simply exists, welcoming everyone. You’ll see people creating beautiful memories, couples laughing, families bonding, friends partying, and even horse riders enjoying the cool breeze along the shoreline.

There’s something beautiful and fun about sinking your feet into the soft white sand, writing your wish and name in the sand while listening to the sound of the ocean waves. In the distance, ships glide slowly across the horizon, adding to the beauty of the moment. If you look closely, you might spot little crabs playing hide-and-seek, rushing in and out with the movement of the water.

The entrance fee to the beach is quite straightforward. Each person pays ₦2,000 at the gate, which is the general entry fee. After that, there is an additional ₦5,000 fee to access the main beach area.

Visitors are not allowed to bring in food or drinks from outside, as everything you may need is available for purchase at the beach.

 There is also a pool for children to play and have fun.

It’s more than just a place; it’s an experience. A place to relax, reflect, and reconnect with yourself or your loved ones.
