I recently visited a place in Lagos that I didn’t even know existed before. It’s called the Coffee and Gelato University by Cosmos Trade Nigeria, and it’s focused on teaching people how to actually make coffee and gelato professionally.

What stood out to me is that it’s not just theory. The training is very hands-on.

While I was there, I saw people learning how to use real café equipment, the same kind you’d find in coffee shops and dessert stores. They were practicing how to prepare coffee properly, understanding the different techniques, and also learning how gelato is made from scratch.
