They only remember you when they need something. You won't hear from them for weeks or months, but the moment they need help, money, a favor, or a connection, they suddenly remember you exist, nonsense.

They disappear when you need help. When you are going through your own problems, or you ask for support, they suddenly become unavailable, like Davido, and their response becomes slow. Some will even ghost you.

You are always the one giving. You are the one lending money, offering advice, helping them solve problems, supporting their dreams, or showing up for them. But the same effort is rarely returned.

They make you feel guilty when you say no. Instead of respecting your boundaries, they start acting cold, emotional, or manipulative just to pressure you into helping them.

They never celebrate your wins. People who genuinely care about you are happy when good things happen to you. Someone using you may ignore your achievements or change the topic back to themselves.

They only value what you can provide. The relationship revolves around what you can do for them, your money, your connections, your time, or your emotional support.

They rarely check on you genuinely. When they call or message, it almost always leads to a request. Very rarely is it just to see how you are doing.

They drain your energy. After interacting with them, you often feel tired, used, or emotionally exhausted instead of supported.

They take advantage of your kindness. The more you help them, the more they expect from you, as if it is your responsibility to always be there.

The relationship fades when you stop giving. The biggest sign someone is using you is this: the moment you stop being useful, the relationship suddenly becomes distant or disappears completely.

People who truly value you will appreciate you even when you cannot give them anything.
