I didn’t think about egg freezing seriously until I realized something.

Life doesn’t always move on our timeline.

Career. Business. Relocation. Relationships. Everything can shift. So, I wanted options.

So I started researching where a woman can freeze her eggs in Nigeria. Here’s what I found.

First, egg freezing is done at fertility clinics, not regular hospitals. You need a specialist reproductive center with IVF facilities and proper storage systems.

In Nigeria, most of these clinics are in Lagos and Abuja.

In Lagos, I came across places like Nordica Fertility Centre, Bridge Clinic, and George’s Memorial Medical Centre. These clinics are known for IVF and other assisted reproductive treatments, and egg freezing is part of their services.

In Abuja, Nordica also has a branch, and there are a few other fertility centers that offer similar services.

The process itself is not instant. From what I learned, it involves hormone stimulation for about 10 to 14 days, regular scans to monitor your eggs, then a minor procedure to retrieve and freeze them.

It’s not something you walk in and do in one afternoon. It takes time.
