Yesterday, I talked about how I've been trying too hard to make my content "good."
Well...
Even when you stop overthinking it, some posts will still flop. 😂
You write something.
You like it.
You post it.
Then you keep checking your notifications like:
"Surely someone has seen this by now." 😭
Nothing.
You check again.
Still nothing.
At that point, it's very easy to start questioning yourself.
"Was the idea bad?"
"Am I losing my touch?"
"Does anyone even care about this?"
I've done that.
But I'm starting to look at it differently.
Sometimes a post just doesn't land.
That's it.
It doesn't automatically mean you're bad at creating content.
It doesn't mean your audience doesn't care.
And it definitely doesn't mean you should disappear for two weeks because one post hurt your feelings. 😂
Take the lesson and move on.
Maybe the hook needed work.
Maybe the topic wasn't right for that audience.
Maybe the timing was off.
Or maybe...
The post just flopped.
It happens.
I'm learning to care about the numbers without letting the numbers decide how I feel about my work.
So if you posted something recently and it didn't do what you hoped...
Welcome to the club. 😂
Post again.
What was the last post you thought would do well but completely surprised you? 👀
