Wow ๐ฎ!!! Davido Reveals How Wizkid and Wande Coal Advised Him to Leave School for Music
Davido has opened up about the early days of his music career, revealing that he once sought advice from Wizkid and Wande Coal on how they managed to leave school and focus on music.
According to the Afrobeats Documentary, Davido said he knew his father would never allow him to simply abandon his education for music. He said he asked Wizkid and Wande Coal how they were able to make that transition.
โI asked Wizkid and Wande Coal how they left school to do music. They told me the only way was to blow up.โ
Davido said everything changed after his hit song โDami Duroโ became a major success.
โI knew my dad wouldnโt allow me, but when โDami Duroโ blew up, I couldnโt continue,โ he said.
However, Davido eventually returned to school and found a way to balance his education with his growing music career after reaching an agreement with his father.
As part of the arrangement, his father allowed him to pursue music and also supported him with a recording studio, while Davido returned to school.
He later graduated from Babcock University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music.
Sometimes, the journey to becoming a superstar comes with plenty of sacrifices. ๐ถ๐ฅ
