I started as a fitness coach.

Then a relationship coach.

Gradually I becomes a long distance jogger.

Then a writer.

After that I opened a liquor shop (my brother is the investor I am just helping him as a coach).

Upon all that I am still an aspiring radio presenter (I love mass communication enh).

Why did I mention all the above?

Because local people (most especially your hometown people) will assume you've lost your mind when you're coming up with business ideas they had no physical prove of understanding about.

Like when you tell them, "I want to start selling biscuits but any of my biscuit will not be bought less than #200. You can only buy from #200 and above."

You're already delusional (to them). 

Biscuits that Mummy Samuel was selling #50 and #100 and not even making profit from? You better go find work!

If you finally nailed it with: "Well, that's not my point. I will have a cool place where boyfriends and girlfriends can sit down and enjoy their biscuits and maybe drink some tea or coffee along..."

Tah! What?!

Ah!!! Otiyemi. You've finally lost your mind.

Only to still tell them your business will be opening at 11:45 AM while closing by 9 PM.

'Aaro loja! Kinni n se'wo boboi?'

All of the above happened to me because I had already labelled as delusional around my Ogbomoso people.

Secretly I wanted to give up.

But the more I think about how great it will feel if I could pull it off is already enough for me to keep grinding.

My philosophy is: 

If someone somewhere (or some people somewhere) can came up with Feedcover helping Nigerians (like me) to showcase their talents locally and globally then why couldn't, I, too build a business that will also help some other people?

But your business will still fail (locally) if you can't manage to tough it out in your hometown.

These people knew you the best. They knew your weaknesses.

And your idea will always sound stûpid to them now matter how good or sweet you analyze it to them.

So you have a choice:

Keep doing it even though it somehow felt you're going in circle.

Or..

Give up now and regret it later because you could have been keeping on trying when the going get tougher.
