It’s not simply because you have “sweet blood.”

Mosquitoes are surprisingly good at detecting certain signals from our bodies. They can follow the carbon dioxide we breathe out, detect body heat, and pick up chemicals and odors from our skin.

That means two people standing side by side can give off different signals, making one more noticeable to a mosquito than the other.

And yes, factors such as blood type, body odor, movement and even the surrounding environment can also influence mosquito attraction.

So if mosquitoes always seem to find you first… 😭🦟

It may not be personal. Your body might simply be giving them the signals they’re looking for.
