Scholarships sound amazing until you realize not everyone automatically qualifies. And many students also assume scholarships are only for first-class students, but that’s not always true.

So, who is actually eligible?

You may qualify for a scholarship in Nigeria if you fall into one or more of these categories:

High academic performers, Students with excellent grades, high JAMB scores, or strong CGPAs often get merit-based scholarships.

Undergraduate students: Many scholarships are open to students already admitted into a recognized university, polytechnic, or college of education.

Financially disadvantaged students: Some scholarships focus on students from low-income backgrounds who need financial support.

Indigenous students: Certain state governments and organizations offer scholarships to indigenes of specific states.
