If a tourist were visiting Lagos for the first time, I would recommend they visit Lekki Conservation Centre.
What makes it special is that it offers a different side of Lagos.
Many people know Lagos for its traffic, business activity, and busy lifestyle, but Lekki Conservation Centre gives visitors a chance to experience nature right in the middle of the city.
The main attraction is the famous canopy walkway, one of the longest in Africa. Walking above the trees gives you amazing views and a unique experience you won't find in many places.
You'll also see monkeys, peacocks, and other wildlife while enjoying a peaceful environment away from the city's noise.
My insider tip is to visit early in the morning. The weather is cooler, there are fewer crowds, and you'll have better opportunities for photos and wildlife sightings.
For me, Lekki Conservation Centre captures an important part of Lagos: a city that combines urban energy with natural beauty.
