Anytime my phone develops issues, Computer Village is usually my last hope and my biggest fear at the same time 😅. As a student, I’ve learned that going there without a plan is how people lose phones, money, or both.
What works for me is sticking to known buildings and busy shops, not the random guys rushing at you the moment you enter. I prefer repair shops that stay inside one location, have tools on display, and are already fixing other phones it feels safer and more legit. If a technician insists on walking away with my phone or asks me to “come back later,” I politely decline.
I always ask for price first, confirm what exactly is wrong, and stand close while they work. For common repairs like screen or battery issues, I make sure they open the phone in front of me. I’ve also learned to back up my phone and remove my SIM before handing it over small steps that save a lot of stress.
Most importantly, I rely on student recommendations. If a friend or coursemate says “that guy is good,” that’s better than any shouting advertisement. With these small rules, Computer Village becomes less scary and more like a place where you actually get value and leave with your phone intact 😄
