It’s hard not to feel frustrated thinking about this: entry-level doctors in Nigeria, grinding 200+ hours a month, earning less than $1/hour. Meanwhile, senators pull in millions. No wonder 4,000+ doctors left in 2024 alone.
How do we expect people to stay and save lives when survival itself isn’t possible? We need serious wage reform and a plan to stop this brain drain. Our health system can’t survive on good intentions alone.
