If you live in Nigeria, you already know the truth most people don’t like to say out loud:
your course of study doesn’t carry the weight it used to.

These days, what really moves the needle is what you can do, not what you studied.

From what I’ve seen, three skill areas consistently open doors, both locally and remotely:

Tech.
Anything from software development to data analysis, product design, or digital marketing. If you can solve problems with technology, you’ll always be in demand.

Sales.
People underestimate this one. If you know how to sell, negotiate, and communicate value, you’ll never be completely broke. Every business needs sales, even tech companies.

Business.
This is about understanding how money moves. Operations, growth, customer management, and strategy. If you can build or scale something, opportunities follow you.

Master any one of these and you can:
 • Find decent jobs in Nigeria
 • Work remotely for foreign companies
 • Create your own income stream
