When I first visited Abuja, it honestly felt like I had stepped into a completely different world from the one I am used to in Nigeria. The first thing that caught my attention was the neatness; everything looked so organized and calm.

The city has this composure that makes it stand out immediately.

One of my favorite things about Abuja is the wide roads. Unlike the busy and sometimes chaotic streets of Lagos, Abuja’s roads are spacious and well-structured, and the movement feels smoother and less stressful. Even entering public buses felt like a whole different experience. If you’ve been in Lagos, you’ll understand why I found it funny and refreshing 🤣.

However, living in Abuja doesn’t come cheap. The cost of living is quite high compared to many other cities in Nigeria. That said, there are still some areas where you can find affordable options if you look well. One thing I really appreciated was the availability of fresh vegetables and fruits; they’re easy to find and of good quality.

Another beautiful part of my experience was seeing the natural rock formations scattered around the city. They add a unique and scenic touch to Abuja’s landscape.

 But let’s talk about the weather, the sunshine there is on another level! It gets really hot during the day, and when it’s cold, it can be extremely chilly.
