As teachers, we can make learning these social skills fun instead of making children feel like they are being punished or forced to share.
Simple activities such as playing with building blocks, sharing crayons during art activities, taking turns answering questions, or playing group games can help children practise these skills naturally.
Teachers can also use phrases like “Your turn, then my turn” or “Let’s give everyone a chance” to help children understand the idea of taking turns.
Storytelling, songs, role-play, and puppets can also be useful because children can learn through familiar characters and situations.
