It’s heartbreaking and frankly unacceptable that we’re starting another year with mass killings still defining daily life in Nigeria. Peter Obi is right to call this a national disgrace. From Niger to Plateau, Kano, and Katsina, innocent people are being slaughtered while insecurity becomes “normal.”
This cannot continue. Protecting lives is the most basic duty of government, and anything less is a failure. We need an urgent, coordinated, and decisive response now, not speeches after funerals. My thoughts are with the families who have lost loved ones. Nigeria must end this cycle of violence.
