You see,
Our challenge is not our circumstances, it is our mindset.
How you think determines your opportunities & it also determines your value & worth in the eyes of others.
A Christian who still believes he or she is at the mercy of others & opportunities have already first disrespected him or herself before others disrespects him or her.
Opportunities have weight, but they also have cadres of value.
You must know who you are, what you're worth & where you're going.
Accepting just anyone, anything or anyplace just because you want to survive or be loved/accepted doesn't always mean you're serious-minded. You could be shooting yourself on the leg & then thinking why you're always treated wrongly.
Having a healthy image of yourself is not pride, it is wisdom. People treat you base on the value you place on yourself & how you evaluate yourself.
Trying to accept anything, anyplace or anyone doesn't mean you're humble, it means your self worth is damaged.
This is why anyone can insult you or treat you like trash & feel they're right & have done nothing wrong.
Because you're looking at it from the perspective of self-pity & calling that meekness, but you're wrong.
A healthy self image respects itself, it acknowledges it's boundaries, it doesn't accept what it has outgrown, it does not allow itself being pushed over because it's trying to survive or be loved. It ignores disrespect & protects it values.
You have no defined values that's why anyone that shows up is your type.
Because you have defined that your type is someone who has anything they're doing, have a vagina, a big manhood, or just because he or she is tall or short, have muscles, have a fair or dark skin, & have a shaking butt.
But does he or she have a healthy image of themselves? Does that person have a healthy moral value & a working boundary of what they can accept & not accept?
Does this person fear God or they can just do anything & have no self-control?
Are they boasting that they have self-control but their actions show otherwise?
Do you think because a person works at a well paid organisation or have a portfolio that people admires mean that he or she is alright in their values?
You don't have a clue because you don't know your worth.
I see alot of people use their height & skin colour or butt size & sexual organ as the basis of their worth.
Then, they move from there & start talking about how much they make & use that nonsense as a basis of defining themselves. I just look at these things & laugh.
This is why once those things are tampered with, you immediately get scared & loose yourself. Because you define your worth by external variables & never think of adjusting that.
Am telling you this because image is tried before image is exposed.
You cannot develop anything outside of your spirit & soul & be truly certain & respected by anyone or anything. No! Not even your body qualifies.
