When I saw this challenge, I asked myself, "What have I really achieved this year?"

I didn't hit a major financial goal. I didn't celebrate a big career milestone.

But I did something I never thought I would.

This year, grief found me when I least expected it. It changed the way I see life, the way I make plans and even the way I dream.

For months, every conversation about someone I love dearly ended the same way with tears.

Then, a few days ago, something changed.

For the first time in six months, I spoke about her without crying.

I paused.

I took a deep breath.

The heaviness was still there, but so was a quiet smile.

In that moment, I realized healing isn't forgetting. It isn't pretending the pain never existed.

Sometimes, it's simply discovering that your heart has learned to carry both love and loss at the same time.

I'm still grieving.

I still have questions.

I still don't know what tomorrow looks like.

But I'm choosing to trust God with every step, even the uncertain ones.

So, if I have one achievement to celebrate this year, it's this:

I'm learning to live again.

And today, that feels like enough.
