Title: THE SCARIEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE
PART 3
_______
Recall that I already told you that the streets were empty, meaning that you barely see people walking by.
At that moment,Dennis and I were walking to God knows where he was taking me to. There were only a few guys of about five in number at a nearby shop discussing that could be seen. No single soul was walking on the road.
Being who I am, my conscience was clear. I had no negative thoughts running through my mind anymore. I didn't want to harbour negative thoughts on my head so it would not turn to reality. Dennis walked faster than me, so I was walking behind him. When we reached the end of a particular building, he made way into a thin dark road.
Immediately, my sense which seemed like it travelled, came back. I stopped at that moment. When he realized that I had stopped walking, he came back and asked;
"What is the problem? Why did you stop?"
I took a deep breath and answered;
"I'm not moving farther than this?"
Surprised and disappointed, I guess;
"We aren't going too far from here, we are almost there", he said as he pointed his finger towards the road.
I summoned the courage to tell him that the place is very dark and that I can't risk my life by following him to such a dark place. I told him that my heart doesn't accept it, and that I'm obligated to follow my heart at this point with no objection.
I turned to go back but he held me back by hand. At that point, my heart dropped into my tummy. To say that I became afraid was an understatement. I was frightened. I told myself that all I have feared could soon happen.
'What if....? What if...?' was all I heard ringing in my head.
"Mr. Dennis, leave me alone" was what could come out of my mouth.
"And where do you think you're going", he said with a devilish smile, no longer the charming and attractive smile I saw on his face a few minutes ago.
(Is this how people can change within a twinkle of an eye?).
Fear gripped me more. I said within myself, 'This is a problem you brought to yourself. You don't have anyone to blame' as I wept and prayed in my heart.
"Of course, I'm going back to my house. I already told you I'm not moving an inch farther with you. It's very dark there, maybe we can meet again tomorrow in the day time", I managed to reply to him while struggling to free my hand from his grip.
I thought of shouting, but I looked around and no one was near to save me. Nobody would even hear my voice if I shouted, and that could cause me more problems. I thought of pleading with him to let me go, but I couldn't, as he kept staring at me in a manner that made me realize I'm in the lion's den. Although, I didn't know exactly what would happen, but I certainly know it won't be far from what I had feared.
"Young lady, when you came outside by this time to meet a total stranger, what was in your mind? Only if you allow me to do what I want to do, you won't go back the same", he said with a deadly and romantic look at the same time.
Before I could process that statement, he started touching me in a way I didn't like. I quickly removed his hand with force.
"Don't touch me like that", I said boldly.
"You're acting as if this is your first time. Lie to me that you don't do this all the time", he said.
"It's none of your business. Just let go of me", I interrupted him with an angry tone.
At this moment, I was boiling inside with anger, but he was so strong that I couldn't free my hand from his grip. The more I struggled to release myself, the more he tightened his hand.
"Leave me alone Dennis, wolf in sheep's clothing. You came as a good person, little did I know that you are a bitch. I blame myself for even talking to you for the first time. I have learnt my lesson. Get your filthy hand off me..."
As I was still talking, Dennis raised his hand in annoyance to slap me.
To be continued...
