These days, social media has made many young people feel like life is a competition.
At 20, people expect to own cars.
At 25, they expect marriage, money, success, and a perfect life.
Because of this pressure, many people now feel like failures simply because their lives don’t look “successful” online.
Some are silently battling anxiety and depression because they believe they are behind in life.
Others rush into unhealthy relationships, illegal activities, or fake lifestyles just to appear successful to society.
The truth is, everybody’s journey is different.
Some people succeed early.
Some succeed later.
And some take longer to figure life out.
Another dangerous part of this pressure is comparison.
People compare their chapter 1 to someone else’s chapter 20 without knowing the sacrifices, struggles, or privileges behind that success.
Many people also don’t realize that some lifestyles online are funded by debt, temporary opportunities, or fake appearances.
Because of societal pressure, many young people are no longer enjoying growth naturally.
Everything now feels rushed.
The fear of “not making it on time” has made people lose peace, confidence, and self-worth.
But success is not a race.
Life is not one timetable.
Growing slowly is still growth.
Learning at your pace is still progress.
And building a stable future quietly is better than forcing a fake lifestyle for validation.
Never let social media pressure make you hate your own journey.
Do you think society puts too much pressure on young people to succeed early?
