Part 2 — The Mistakes That Broke Us

Love, in its early days, felt like poetry. We shared stolen kisses under the stars, whispered promises in the quiet of the night, and laughed until our cheeks hurt. I remember the warmth of her hand in mine, the way her eyes lit up when she spoke about her dreams. Those moments were pure magic — the kind of romance that makes you believe love can conquer anything.

But magic alone wasn’t enough. Slowly, cracks began to show. We were so caught up in the sweetness that we ignored the hard conversations. I avoided telling her when I felt hurt, and she hid her frustrations behind silence. We thought love would fix everything, but love without communication is like a candle without oxygen — it flickers until it dies out.

One mistake I made was assuming she could read my mind. I expected her to know my needs without me saying them. She, in turn, believed I would always understand her silence. We loved deeply, but we failed to love wisely. And so, the romance that once felt endless began to fade into misunderstandings, arguments, and distance.
