I was part of the Facilitators of a hands-on Digital Literacy Outreach held on the 24th of June 2026 featuring practical session on Data analysis with Excel, Presentation using #microsoft #powerpoint and Graphic designing using #AI, #Canva and Corel draw and I handled the Graphic Design class after giving a short opening speech on technology and the world today.
I taught some students (West Itam Secondary School, ITAM LGA, Akwa Ibom State) and some interested corp members how to design fliers using AI and also touched a little on Canva.
Some of the students reached out to me on whatsapp and shared with the result of the basic knowledge i shared with them during the outreach. They sent me some fliers they created on their own at home.
This is a proof that with more training and exposure, our younger generation can be more creatively positive and productive.
