Sit back. Let me tell you one thing about me that you may never know until you come close.

When I was living in the school hostel, two girls in the room next to mine had a serious fight.

Not small quarrel ooo.

I mean real gbas gbos. 😂

Now, you would think I witnessed everything live.

No.

I didn't.

Do you know why?

One thing about me is that I don't like fights.

You see fighting, quarrelling, gossip, drama, or gbas gbos, I quietly excuse myself.

In fact, me and those things are like this 👈 👉

We don't meet.

I don't involve myself in anything that doesn't concern me or add value to my life.

You will never see me amidst people fighting or quarrelling.

You will hardly see me where people are gossiping.

You won't find me standing where people are throwing tantrums or exchanging insults.

I can't stay where people are using their mouths like cutlasses. 😭😂

If "minding my business" was a person's name, that would probably be my first name. 🤣

I genuinely love my peace.

I like staying in my lane and facing my own journey.

Many times, my sister in Lagos would call me to confirm one hot gist that happened in our village.

I would simply tell her,

"Eh? I've not heard of it. You're the first person telling me ooo." 😂

Meanwhile, the whole village had already heard the news.

I can literally be inside the house while people are fighting in our compound and still not know anything happened.

Even if I eventually hear about it, I won't stress myself asking for the full story.

How does it improve my life? 🤷‍♀️

Even many of the stories or trends that circulate online everyday, I never get to hear about it. 😂

That's just who I am.

Honestly, it has saved me from plenty wahala.

Now, back to the hostel fight.

Later that evening, one of my roommates came back and narrated everything to another roommate that wasn't around.

According to her, Lady A cooked food and left it in the room before going for lectures.

When she returned, her food had disappeared.

Lady B, who happened to be her close friend, had eaten it without asking or informing her.

These girls were not just roommates. They were very good friends.

Omor...

That was how World War Three started. 😭😂

Before people could separate them, clothes had been torn and a few injuries had already been recorded.

Hmmm...

After everything, Lady B packed out of the room and moved elsewhere.

Sometimes, too much familiarity causes problems.

Why would you eat someone's food without permission?

What if that food was the only thing she had to eat after coming back hungry from lectures?

Some people sha...

If not for my roommates who narrated everything that happened, I honestly wouldn't have known there was a fight in the next room.

That's how much I mind my business. 😂

I just stay in my lane peacefully.

In fact, if you come and bring trouble to my lane, I will quietly leave the lane for you and go and find another one. 🤣🤣

I don't have strength for unnecessary drama.

If it were me they ate my food from, I don't even know if I would shout, let alone fight. 😥

My own tears would probably flood the whole room first. 🙈😂

These people that can shout and fight at any slightest provocation, I hail you all ooo. It's not easy. 🤦
