Oh, it’s Monday again. 😭
I used to detest Mondays with a pure, unfiltered passion; the kind that announces another week of waking up early, going to work, interacting with different energies, and exerting strength when all I really want is to be left alone in my cocoon.

Yes, it’s Monday again.

But for a while now, Mondays have been whispering a story to me - a quiet melody about time. And one day, I finally listened.

I don’t hate Mondays as much as I used to. Not anymore. Because a certain understanding dawned on me, gently, but firmly.

Once it’s Monday, in my head, it’s already the end of the week.

From Monday, I can already see the weekend standing right in front of me. I’m like, “Today is Monday, then Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and it’s Friday again.” It all moves so fast.

Exactly!

That’s how time comes and goes.

For every Monday that arrives like an unwanted guest, a full week has already flown by like the wind. Before you know it, it’s June. Then suddenly, December shows its beautiful face - the guest we all waited for patiently.

Then you say, “When did we even start this year? How time flies!”

Yes. Time flies.

Please, clock that reality.🤏

Every Monday is already a week gone. Four Mondays quietly become a month. You already know how the rest of the story unfolds.

That thing you’re supposed to do on Monday, the one you keep pushing till Saturday, I’m here to tell you something: Saturday will soon arrive, and you still might not do it.

The illusion that time is patiently waiting for you is deceiving you.

Time dey whine you die.

You don’t have as much time as you think you do. So do it now. Right this moment. The minute the thought comes, stop every other thing and do it.

That’s exactly what I did with this piece.

I had been thinking of writing it since morning, but the day was hectic. Later, I found myself strolling casually on Instagram when it hit me, I needed to write. So I turned off my data, opened my notepad, asked the Holy Spirit to guide my words, and I started writing.

Immediately!

The difference between me and you might just be this: I didn’t wait till tomorrow. I didn’t say, “Next week.” I took the bull by its horns and did it.

That’s why you’re reading this now.

The time I would have used to write this piece tomorrow if I had procrastinated can now be used for another important task.

Every time I procrastinate, I slowly eat into the time waiting for me in the future.

This is my mantra:
Time has no luxury to wait for me.

I decide what I do with my time to secure my future and fulfil purpose. I maximize the Mondays in front of me so I can become on Saturdays. I don’t behave like the fool in the Bible; I act like someone who understands time and seasons. I handle time with urgency, because wisdom demands it.

I no dey allow time whine me.

Time go meet me for front because every moment I honour today is a future already secured.

I don wise pass am. 😉🤏
