Solve any equations in 30-seconds 🔥🔥
1️⃣ If the equation looks like x^2 + bx + c = 0 (where the number in front of x^2 is 1), use the Sum and Product rule.💪
🔥The Goal: Find two numbers that multiply to give you c and add up to give you b.
🤸♂️Example: x^2 + 5x + 6 = 0
Think: What multiplies to 6 and adds to 5? → 2 and 3.
📖Write: (x + 2)(x + 3) = 0.
📚Solve: x = -2, -3.
2️⃣ If you see only two terms and a minus sign, like x^2 - 16 = 0, don't overthink it.
📌The Pattern: a^2 - b^2 = (a - b)(a + b).
📝Solve: √16 = 4. So, x = 4 and x = -4. Done.
3️⃣ When the equation is ax^2 + bx + c = 0 (and a is not 1), use the Multiply and Divide trick:
📌Multiply: a×c.
📝Factor: Find two numbers that multiply to that result and add to b.
➡️Divide: Divide those two numbers by a and simplify.
🤸♂️Example: 2x^2 + 7x + 3 = 0
2 ×3 = 6. What multiplies to 6 and adds to 7? → 6 and 1.
📐Divide by a (which is 2): 6÷2= 3 and 1/2.
✅Answer: Flip the signs! x = -3 and x = -1/2.
