It’s from a guy named Paul Skallas. His thoughts in his post “Stay Alive in Case You Get Lucky” are so thought-provoking that they dismantle the belief that hard work is the only prerequisite for success.

But surviving by avoiding terminal risks while waiting for the system to “break,” as he calls it, might be the missing key to your breakthrough.

Here are some excerpts from the post, which I plan to write boldly on the scorecard board in my room:

“Most success starts by not getting eliminated. Stay alive and stay in a place where the world’s eventual shit could benefit you.”

And then this:

“Survival is domain-specific. But the principle is the same everywhere — don’t take the risk that ends you.”

Before now, I used to tell myself that taking risks was the only way I could win. But taking terminal risks will only end me.

So how do I find the balance? How are you finding the balance?
