Night time is when sense clocks out and vibes take over.

“I’ll just watch one episode.”
Next thing, Netflix is asking “Are you still watching?” like it wants to report you.

“I’ll sleep early today.”
But first, make I check my phone small. And that’s when your talking stage decides he wants to have an all night conversation.

Or you’re watching TikToks and one scroll turns to 40 minutes. Now you’re reading comments you didn’t plan to see.

“I’ll wake up early.”
You even set alarm with full confidence.
Morning comes and you start negotiating like God abeg, just 5 minutes.

“I won’t think about my problems tonight.”
Big lie.
That’s when your brain brings embarrassing memories from 2015 without warning.

“I’ll save money this month.”
But food is calling.
Data is finishing.
And peace of mind is not cheap.

“I’ll reply that message tomorrow.”
Tomorrow becomes next week.
Now it’s awkward.
So you pretend you never saw it.

Night time is not for planning your life.
It’s for overthinking, unnecessary scrolling, and lies we know we’ll tell again.

Anyway, goodnight.
See you tomorrow night, same lies, same promises.

Don’t lie. You know this is you.
