I used to think being busy meant I was doing well.
If my phone was constantly ringing…
If I had somewhere to go…
If I had ten things on my mind…
I felt productive.
Until one day, I stopped and asked myself:
“What have I actually accomplished?”
And honestly?
Not much.
I was answering everyone's messages.
Helping with everyone's problems.
Saying yes to things I didn't even have time for.
Starting things I never finished.
I was exhausted…
but somehow still felt like I wasn't moving forward.
That's when I realized something:
Being available for everything can leave you with no time for yourself.
Sometimes you have to say:
“No.”
“I can't do that right now.”
“Maybe later.”
And that's okay.
You don't have to be everywhere.
You don't have to respond to everyone immediately.
You don't have to explain every decision you make.
Sometimes protecting your time is the most productive thing you can do.
Have you ever had a period where you realized you were doing too much? 👇
