🩲 YOU’VE PROBABLY SEEN THIS SMALL THING INSIDE YOUR PAD PACK… BUT DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT’S ACTUALLY FOR? 👀

Ladies, especially if you buy sanitary pads from Nigerian supermarkets, pharmacies, neighbourhood shops or even the market, you may have come across this little extra inside some pad packs. 😂

It looks like a mini pad, but it isn't meant to replace your normal sanitary pad.

It’s a pantyliner. 🌸

Pantyliners are thin absorbent products designed for light vaginal discharge, light spotting, or small amounts of moisture.

For example, some women may use them:

🌸 When they have light vaginal discharge.

🩸 At the beginning or end of their period when the flow is very light.

🩸 For occasional light spotting.

But here's something many women don't realise:

You don't need a pantyliner just because you have vaginal discharge.

Normal vaginal discharge is a natural part of having a vagina. It can change throughout your menstrual cycle, and having some discharge doesn't mean you're dirty or unhygienic.

Also, a pantyliner is not a treatment for unusual discharge.

If your discharge suddenly becomes unusual in colour, develops a strong unpleasant smell, or comes with itching, burning or pain, it's better to find out what's causing it instead of simply covering it with a liner.

And please remember that scented feminine products can irritate some people's sensitive skin.

So that little thing you sometimes find inside your pad pack?

It actually has a purpose.

But here's the bigger question:

👀 Who should actually use pantyliners, and is wearing one every single day a good idea?

That's Part 2 tomorrow. 🩲🌸

Now be honest 👇🏾

Did you already know what this little thing was for, or did you just keep it somewhere “in case you need it”?
