I know women who are done.
Done with their marriages.
Done with their husbands.
They don't love him anymore. They don't even like him sometimes.
But they stay.

And every time someone says, "Just leave, you deserve better," they smile and nod.
But inside they're thinking — you don't understand.

It's not about her.
It's about those kids.

She looks at her son and thinks — who's going to teach him how to be a man?
She looks at her daughter and thinks — who's going to show her what a father's protection feels like?

She knows she can provide.
She knows she can love them enough.
But discipline? Authority? That presence that makes a kid straighten up just by walking in the room?

That's not her. That's him.

So she stays.
Not because she's weak.
Because she's willing to be unhappy so her children don't have to be unstable.

People love to say "your happiness matters."
And it does.
But her children's future matters more.

She'll take the silent dinners.
She'll take the emotional distance.
She'll take the loneliness.

Because when her son becomes a good father one day...
Or when her daughter marries a good man...
She'll know she played a part in that.

And that matters more than her comfort right now.

"Don't judge her until you've stood in her shoes."
