Spotify is removing its music-only ‘Basic’ plan. Cancel it once, and you can’t get it back. That means subscribers must now pay for Premium bundles that include audiobooks they might not want. Meanwhile, songwriters earn even less because royalties on bundled plans are lower. More choices for users? Not really. More money for creatives? Definitely not.
