In fields of green, where valor stands,
Nigeria's sons, with hearts so grand,
Defenders true, with souls ablaze,
Their sacrifice, we honor today.
From North to South, from East to West,
Their footsteps echoed, their voices blessed,
Through trials harsh, and battles dire,
They fought for freedom, their hearts on fire.
In lands of strife, where shadows creep,
They stood as guardians, their vigil deep,
Against the tide, of darkness vast,
Their courage shone, a beacon unsurpassed.
Oh, fallen heroes, your spirits soar,
Above the clouds, forevermore,
Your names inscribed, in history's scroll,
Your deeds of valor, forever told.
We mourn your loss, with hearts so deep,
Yet pride we hold, for those who sleep,
Their sacrifice, a guiding light,
For peace and freedom, day and night.
Oh, Nigeria's heroes, strong and bold,
Your legacy endures, a story told,
In every soldier, brave and true,
Your spirit lives, forever new.
So let us stand, with heads held high,
And honor those, who dared to die,
