“Sound of Time” isn’t just tick-tock on a clock. It’s the way time speaks, teaches, and reveals realities if we listen. Here’s a comprehensive note:

What “Sound of Time” Means*

Time has a “sound” in 3 ways:

Audible*: The alarm, church bell, market bell, call to prayer. They announce that a moment has arrived.

Spiritual*: God speaks in seasons. 1 Chron 12:32 – _“men who understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do.”_ That’s hearing the sound of time.

Personal*: Your life has a rhythm. There’s a sound when your season of preparation ends and your season of manifestation begins. If you miss it, you miss the moment.

 Eternal Realities Time Exposes*

Reality What Time Teaches Scripture Example

 Time is Limited** Every second spent can’t be retrieved. Time is your most non-renewable resource. Ps 90:12 *“Teach us to number our days”* A 24-hour day for Dangote is same 24-hour for you. Difference is stewardship.

 Time is a Tester** Time reveals what’s real and what’s fake. Gold vs wood both look good at first. 1 Cor 3:13 *“the fire will test the quality of each man’s work”* Fake relationships, fake talents, fake motives all get exposed with time.

 Time is a Healer & a Killer** Time heals wounds, but time also kills opportunities. It does both at once. Eccl 3:3 *“a time to heal... a time to kill”* Grief fades with time, but that business idea also dies if you wait too long.

 Time is God’s Language** God rarely rushes. He works in “kairos” — opportune time, not just “chronos” — clock time. Gal 4:4 *“when the fullness of time had come, God sent His Son”* Jesus was 30 before ministry started. 30 years of silence for 3 years of impact.

There Ways People Respond to the Sound of Time*

The Sleeper*: Doesn’t hear it. Pro 6:4 _“Give not sleep to your eyes till you finish your task.”_ Misses doors because they’re sleeping through the alarm.

The Rusher*: Hears it but runs ahead of it. Saul offered sacrifice before Samuel arrived, 1 Sam 13. Rushed timing = ruined destiny.

The Discerner*: Understands the sound. David refused to kill Saul even when he had the chance because _“the LORD’s anointed”_ timing wasn’t yet, 1 Sam 24. He waited for God’s sound.

How to Hear the Sound of Time Correctly*

Surrender your clock to God’s calendar*: Ps 31:15 _“My times are in Your hands.”_ Your 25 is not late if God’s calendar says 35.

Watch for patterns, not just moments*: God speaks through repeated doors, repeated burdens, repeated scriptures. That’s the sound getting louder.

Discern the season*: There’s a sound for sowing — it’s quiet, lonely. There’s a sound for reaping — it’s noisy, public. Don’t despise the quiet sound.

Act in the window*: Esther 4:14 _“for such a time as this.”_ Windows of time open and close. Boldness + timing = breakthrough.

Realities in Christ vs Sound of Time*

As believers, we live by 2 clocks:

Chronos*: The world’s clock — deadlines, age 30, biological clock.

Kairos*: God’s clock — _“in the fullness of time”_ Gal 4:4.

Eternal realities in Christ tell you: _“You are already blessed, seated, righteous.”_ Eph 1:3, Eph 2:6  

The sound of time tells you: _“Now is the moment to walk in what’s already yours.”_ 2 Cor 6:2 _“now is the day of salvation.”_

So: *Reality gives you the inheritance. Time tells you when to take delivery.*

Bottom Line*

Time is not your enemy. Ignorance of time is. 

The man who hears the sound of time doesn’t panic when others panic. He doesn’t rush when others rush. He moves when heaven says move.

Yahweh is the God of timing. _“He makes all things beautiful in its time”_ Eccl 3:11. 

If you can hear the sound, you can master the season. If you master the season, you’ll maximize your life.
