if you have palm oil at home and you run out of vegetable oil or butter, you can try this/

If you are oversea use bleached palm oil to avoid excessive smoke in your kitchen.

Ingredients
½ cup popcorn kernels
2–3 tablespoons red palm oil
½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

Optional seasonings:
1 tablespoon sugar (for a sweet version)
½ teaspoon chili powder or cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon suya spice
A pinch of garlic powder
Instructions
Heat the palm oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add 2–3 popcorn kernels and cover the pot.
Once those kernels pop, add the remaining popcorn kernels and shake the pot to coat them in the oil.
Cover and continue cooking, shaking the pot occasionally.
When the popping slows to about 2–3 seconds between pops, remove the pot from the heat.
Sprinkle with salt or your preferred seasoning while the popcorn is still hot and toss well to coat evenly.
