Puff-Puff has found its way into the hearts of Nigerians, and this made it become part of our culture and identity.
This snack is easy to make and a good treat with fruit drinks or local Nigerian drinks such as Kunu.
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast (7g)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup warm water
- Vegetable oil for frying
Method:
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit 5–10 minutes until frothy.
- Combine the yeast mixture with the flour. Stir to make a smooth batter.
- Cover and let it rise 1–2 hours until doubled in size.
- Heat oil in a deep pan. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the oil. Fry until golden brown.
