Nigeria has real problems. The economy is hard, opportunities can be limited, the system can be frustrating, and the cost of living keeps putting pressure on ordinary people.

But we also need to stop waiting for everything around us to become perfect before we start building our lives.

You may not be able to change the government.

You may not be able to fix the economy.

You may not be able to control the opportunities available to you.

But you can control what you learn, how you use your time, who you associate with, how you manage your money, and whether you keep improving yourself.

Don't ignore Nigeria's problems—but don't let those problems convince you that your life is over.

Build skills.

Build connections.

Build something.

Create opportunities where you can.

The country may not change overnight, but you can change your position in it.
