Tons of products at crazy-low prices, mostly fashion, gadgets, and random home items. The selection is wild, but not everything is relevant to Nigerian needs.

2. Prices

Temu wins if you just want cheap stuff. The discounts are insane, like “how is this even possible?” cheap. But here’s the catch: cheap can mean long shipping times and lower quality. Jumia is pricier, but the products are often more reliable, and you can usually get local delivery within a few days.

3. Delivery & Logistics

This is where Jumia still shines. Even if you pay extra for fast delivery, it’s usually in your hands within 3–5 days. Temu items take weeks. Sometimes you wait, and then you forget what you even ordered. Returns and exchanges are also smoother with Jumia because they have local support. Temu mostly relies on international shipping, so returning items is a headache.

4. Trust Factor

I’ve learned to check Jumia seller ratings, but overall, I trust the platform. Temu is newer in Nigeria, and while it looks legit, you have to be very careful. Some sellers are sketchy, and customer service isn’t as responsive.

5. Shopping Experience

Jumia feels Nigerian-friendly. You get promotions, flash sales, and sometimes local discounts. Temu feels more global; the app is slick, but you have to think carefully about customs, shipping, and timing.
