The truth is, Africa is home to Lagos, Kigali, Zanzibar, Cape Verde, Mauritius, Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Ethiopia, Nairobi, and Cape Town – metropolises that rival any in the world. Yet, these stories often go untold, perpetuating stereotypes and misconceptions. The blame lies not with the people, but with the systems that shape our perceptions. Media outlets prioritize sensationalism over representation, creating a skewed view of Africa.
