Finding my feet- Episode 1

I'm 19, and I honestly don't know if I'm doing life right.

Does anyone else ever feel like everyone got a manual for adulthood... except you?

I'm 19, a radiography student, and if I'm being honest, I'm still figuring things out.

Some days I feel like I have it together. I wake up, study, revise for the next exam, tick off my to-do list, and feel like I'm finally moving in the right direction. Other days, I sit with my thoughts and wonder, Is any of this actually working? It seems like everyone around me has a plan, the person already landing opportunities, the one juggling multiple income streams, the friend who always looks like they have life under control while I'm still trying to understand my coursework late at night and wondering if I'm doing enough.

Nobody tells you that university doesn't come with a manual. You're expected to keep up with lectures, practicals, exams, build skills for the future, make meaningful connections, manage your finances, stay grounded, and somehow still have your life all figured out.

The truth is... most days, you're just trying your best.

I've had weeks where I studied hard and still felt behind. I've questioned whether I was moving too slowly. I've compared my chapter one to somebody else's chapter twenty, then had to remind myself that we're not even reading the same book.

What I'm slowly learning is that "doing life right" isn't about having everything figured out by 19. Maybe it's about showing up even when you're uncertain. Maybe it's about making mistakes, learning from them, adjusting your course, and becoming a little wiser than you were yesterday.

I don't have all the answers, and I'm beginning to think that's okay. Growth isn't always loud. Sometimes it looks like quietly choosing not to give up.

So if you're also figuring life out one day at a time, know that you're not alone.

Be honest... what's one thing adulthood or simply growing up has taught you that nobody warned you about? I'd genuinely love to hear your answer.
