Most, if not all, human inventions are born from researched ideas that only a conscious and deeply curious mind can conceive. Deep thinkers have been able to craft innovations from their minds that have powered the progress of the human race.

The Wright Brothers' ability to envision a world where objects could fly and convey humans from one point to another was not a product of haphazard thinking. It was born out of observation, immense imagination, and rigorous, deep logical thinking.

This is no different in the literary world and the works of William Shakespeare. His sonnets, plays, and poems are still being studied centuries later. It is safe to conclude that these works were the product of profound thinking and imagination.

However, in a world where one can — between waking and sleeping — ask an AI to complete a task without any form of deep thought or conscious awareness, one begins to wonder about the extent of damage AI could potentially cause the human brain. The brain benefits from the mental exercise that comes from deep thinking and reading.

While the creators of most AI models promise that in the near future, these technologies will be able to generate new ideas and solve problems that humans cannot currently solve, I still believe the future will be run by those who choose to exercise deep, conscious thinking — even with fast-thinking AI chatbots at their disposal.

Those who prefer to think for themselves and remain dedicated to understanding the fundamentals of things, instead of just presenting a finished or 'perfect' product, will rule the future world.
