When I heard Nyesom Wike say, “I’m going to take this power from APC, back to PDP, by the Grace of God!” I couldn’t help but pause. Honestly, it got me thinking, not just about politics, but about the confidence it takes to say something like that out loud.
I mean, imagine standing there, in front of millions, and declaring your mission like it’s already written in the stars. Bold? Absolutely. Ambitious? For sure. Inspiring? Well… that depends on where you stand politically.
For me, it’s a mix of admiration and caution. Admiration for the audacity. It’s not easy to set a goal that big and put it out there. Caution, because politics in Nigeria is never straightforward, and “by the Grace of God” reminds us that, at the end of the day, even the boldest plans need faith, patience, and strategy.
Whether you agree with him or not, there’s something personal here we can all relate to: the power of believing in your goal and saying it loud enough that even doubt takes notice.
