Walk through the gallery. Take in the colours, the stories and the different ways Nigerian artists see the world.

You might even find a piece you’ll want to take home.

Next, Sarius Palmetum.

If you think Abuja is all offices, traffic and big buildings, this will change your mind.

It’s green, peaceful and beautiful.

The kind of place where you can walk around, take beautiful pictures and forget you’re in the middle of a busy capital for a while.

Then, find a good Abuja viewpoint at sunset.

This one is non-negotiable.

See the hills.

See the city lights coming on.

Watch the sky change over Abuja.

That’s the kind of view that makes you understand why Abuja is such a beautiful city.
