This morning I woke up feeling responsible. The kind of responsible that makes you believe today is the day everything changes.

I told myself I’d be productive, focused, and serious about life. I even got out of bed without arguing with my alarm. That’s how real the motivation was.

Then I checked my phone.

One notification became scrolling. Scrolling became “let me just lie down small.” And just like that, the motivation disappeared. No warning. No goodbye.

By noon, my plans felt offensive. My to-do list was suddenly doing too much. And my bed started looking like a long-term investment.

I still wanted to succeed, of course. Just not with stress. Or urgency. Or today, exactly.

So I said I’d do it later. Later has been very booked since then.

But to be fair, those 12 minutes were solid. For a short while, I really believed in myself. And honestly, that counts for something.

Some days we do our best. Other days, we almost do. Progress is progress.
