And yes, I was an Okada man.

Main bus-stop back in the days, I am one of those guys parking their bikes rigidly near the express road.

We don't care.

A sudden accident happened yesterday and two people died because a car suddenly lost control and now it hit people and one of them is an Okada man that police already warned them to never park near the express road to carry passenger?

Well, we didn't care. We are back at that same spot the next day.

And it happened that I was one of the badasses, at least back then.

Police will arrest us, we will fight them, they will take our bike to station, we will collect it later and still go back to that same spot.

Why?

It is because we are animals. And animals love challenge.

In fact, if you're a rider and you're not capable enough to be standing where we're standing, all of us we definitely look down on you.

"This place is for the badasses," we would say. "If you're not strong enough don't come here."

Mowe last bus-stop was our territory. And we dominate it.

My expertise was at the opposite of the express. Since expressway is dividing Mowe into two.

One side is for people around Redeem Camp.

The other side is for us, 09 Junction, Mowe market, Ogunrun, Adesan, Loburo Junction, Turaya Junction, Mayer, Arigba Wonwo, Ofada.

All the way back to Orunkole Phase 1, Orunkole Phase 2, Ayanmo, Orunkole Phase 3.

Omun, then Omun Aleku, Immaculate Hotel, then we're back to Yakoyo, and so on.

The last time I went to Mowe everything had changed.

I have to practiced my Ogbomoso tactic and find a woman shop and bought some bread and Coke.

Eating it after getting a chair I was looking around to adjust my brain to the changes.

Because now Mowe have overhead bridge. Interesting.

I have to pretend I know exactly where I'm going when in reality I was secretly calculating how we used to ride Okada back then.

About twenty or fifteen minutes after I got about seventy percent of clues.

So I thanked the woman and walked straight to the overhead bridge and climbed it.

After crossing to the other side I walked straight past all the bike men near the express. They're always annoying.

But they know roads the best. But they're expensive.

Since I was exactly like them before I know how we do it. We assume ourselves to be better than other riders.

You know? We can stay at this risky place while these dummies can't.

So I pretended they wasn't existing and keep on walking.

After getting to 09 Junction I entered Garden Chicken.

When I was an Okada man I wasn't that experienced enough to be eating at eateries.

For this great opportunity, I decided to test it out.

And yeah, I would eat nothing else apart from salads.

On getting inside. I met a girl we once know each other. She's one of the attendance.

She smiled. Because she saw me first. And she remembered me.

Why wouldn't she? A girl I actually dated for four years.

That was my experience in Mowe City, Ogun State Nigeria.

PS: I will still go to Mowe some other time though.
