I used to think having a roommate meant having someone that always had your back.
We ate together, laughed together, even covered each other when money was tight.
One day, I started noticing small things missing.
First it was my charger.
Then my perfume.
Then cash I kept inside my bag.
I blamed everyone except him because I trusted him completely.
One afternoon, I came back earlier than usual and caught him going through my stuff like it was his own room.
The craziest part?
He looked me straight in the eye and said:
“I was only borrowing it.”
That moment taught me something important: Not everybody close to you is loyal to you.
Since then, I’ve learned to protect my space, my money, and my peace.
Have you ever trusted someone and regretted it? 👀
