Most Lagosians have to drive all the way to Lekki to enjoy a day out with animals.

I was surprised to find out there's actually a mini zoo inside Shodex Garden in Ilupeju.

It's more of a recreational centre than a traditional zoo, which is what I like about it. You can easily spend a few hours here with family or friends without feeling rushed.

Here's what you'll find:

🐊 Crocodiles
🐒 Monkeys
🦍 Baboons
🦜 Parrots
🌳 A relaxing garden
🏊 A swimming pool
🛝 A playground for kids

📍 Location: Shodex Garden, Ilupeju, Lagos

💰 Entry Fee: ₦4,000 per person.

If you're looking for somewhere different to visit on the Mainland, this is worth adding to your list, especially if you're going with kids or just want a quiet place to unwind.

Have you ever been to Shodex Garden?

If yes, what was your experience like? If not, would you visit?
