If you’re a woman and you happen to find yourself in Ozoro, Delta state right now, please read this carefully so that you protect yourself and stay safe 

1. Be properly informed: try as much as possible to get accurate information about everything happening in the area and how long the so called festival will last.

2. Don’t go outside: please don’t leave your house. It’s so sad that women have to pause their lives in the name of a festival created to openly assault and violate women but until something is done about this, don’t risk your life by going outside please. 

3. Secure your accommodation: Make sure your doors and windows are properly locked, and avoid letting strangers into your space.
