When I started building mine, I realised I did not need to have everything figured out.

But I did need to know a few things.

1. Start with what you can genuinely talk about

Think about your skills, experience, interests, lessons, and the things you have spent time learning.

What can you talk about without forcing it?

That is a good place to begin.

2. Know who you want to attract

Have an idea of the kind of people you want your brand to speak to.

Who do you want reading your content?

Who do you want reaching out to you?

Who do you eventually want to work with?

You do not need to know everything about them from day one, but you should have a direction.

3. Talk about what you know

Now start sharing.

Your experiences. Your opinions. What you are learning. Things you have noticed. Problems you understand.

Do not worry too much about making every post perfect.

You are building recognition, not trying to prove everything in one post.

4. Pay attention to what happens

As you show up, people will start telling you things without directly telling you.

The questions they ask.

The posts they respond to.

The things they remember you for.

Pay attention.

This is where you start learning what your audience actually cares about.

5. Give yourself room to change

This is something I have had to learn too.

You might start with one direction and realise later that another one fits you better.

You might refine your audience.

You might change how you communicate.

You might discover that the thing you thought would be your focus is not actually where you want to go.

You do not always have to figure everything out at first.

Start with what you can genuinely talk about, be intentional about who you want to attract, and let the rest become clearer as you build.
